blurreds

Back in early Autumn I was expecting a Real Winter this year, though I couldn't have told you why. And we are certainly having one. Even with extra tasks and occasional complications, a feeling of deep wellbeing washes over me now and then. I'm really enjoying this season, after all the recent years of relentlessly bizarre weather. It's a relief just to have a season, recognizable and timely.

  1. You are gifted at seeing and enjoying the best around you. Is there a chance we're in a calmer weather mode? As in seasonal, for a change.

  2. Great photos. I love the little birdies all lined up. The snowflakes add a soft effect. Really pretty.

  3. Love all the blurredies! And I agree, at least it was a familiar season. Today though, was very warm, 60°f, but cold returns soon. Thank goodness. I want Spring to hold off til it's time!

    1. Same! I'll have much to do in terms of garden prep this year, so the current planning stage is fairly complex.

  4. We've noticed an uptick of goldfinches this week. (I haven't seen any bluebirds, yet.) I love all your activity!

    1. The finch flock is even bigger than usual this year. When something startles them, they rise like leaves in a wind!

  5. It's certainly shaping up to be an old-fashioned winter. I suppose we were due for one.
