Acer's last three months have been filled with extra meals, lots of  treats, a wide variety of fallen leaves to browse, and many hours of companionship and special attention every single day.
Some of those days were sunny.

Good boy, Acer. It's been a pleasure.

  1. A lovely eulogy for a lovely boy. I remember his newborn pictures and naming. You gave him a wonderful life all the way.

  4. I'm so sorry Quinn - it's so hard to lose a beloved member of the family, whether they be human or pet. My sympathies to you and your other four-legged family. I'm sure they miss him too.

    1. It's always unsettling to the entire herd when there is a loss. Or an addition. Right now there are several does are either coming into or going out of season, so it's upheaval all round, every day.

    1. Thanks Chris. Going back through 11 years of photographs to choose a few to share brought back a lot of nice memories.

  6. So sorry! Was he ill or at the end of his lifespan? I don't know a lot about goats. How sad for you and the rest of the herd. He certainly fell into a good thing with you!

    1. I didn't think 11 was old for a wether, but I haven't had the heart to ask around amongst the cashmere folk. Maybe later.
