From -14F a few days ago to a forecast in the 40s later this week.
Maybe it will be nice weather for outdoor sketching.
I don't expect to see any leafy shrubs or poppies or sprouting crocus bulbs out there,
but there's always something to sketch.

The weather here has been crazy too. I'm glad the really cold temps didn't last too long but at least we got some sun which has been sorely lacking for a long time it seems. I suspect it's still a bit cold for you to be doing much outdoor sketching - maybe you'll have to use a seed catalogue for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI've certainly got the seed catalogs within easy reach at this point ;)
DeleteAh - some green and pink. That's welcome colors right now! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's coming!!
DeleteI so love your sketches, Quinn. The crocus bulb is my favorite here, I think.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! A painting by Van Gogh of a basket of sprouting crocus bulbs was my "model" :)
DeleteVery nice. Have your tried watercolors left outdoors in the cold for frost to form on the paper?
ReplyDeleteNo, but a friend in England recently did an outdoor printmaking workshop with a portable press and said they had frost on the paper :)
DeleteThose are whiplash temperatures! And lovely marks!
ReplyDeleteChris from Boise
Thank you, Chris :) And whiplash is a perfect word for our weather this "winter"!
DeleteLovely blog, I'm glad I found you! Thank you for stopping by mine... and you are so right about the fibromyalgia and the "gym" we have out in the barnyard! LOL.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, Karen! :)
