Sweetfern, Comptonia peregrina, is neither sweet nor a fern. It looks like something the dinosaurs would have walked through, releasing the warmest, spiciest aromas of imagination.
Wandering Cat has photos of lilies on her blog today that you might enjoy seeing. I don't know how to make a link but it's wanderingcatstudio.com/2020/07/11/gardenfavourites/
Thanks, kayT - I will check out that blog. I'll type in the name, since blogger won't allow hot links in the comments, even from me. I suppose it's to discourage a constant avalanche of the kind of bot-links none of us want to see. And my own parameters prevent cutting and pasting, in an attempt to stop thoughtless or unscrupulous people taking my work - I don't know how effective it is, but that's why the restriction is in place. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation - I will visit ;)
Aw thanks :) I'm so glad the daily markmaking became a habit before I "needed" it - it's a little oasis in every day. Do you feel that way about your fabric artwork?
Thank you for leaving a comment! I enjoy reading each one, and will usually reply either here or on YOUR blog!

Perfect simplicity.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteNow those are the kinds of fireworks for me! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Chris from Boise.
Same! Thank you, Chris :)

ReplyDeleteI love how I can see those lilies with just a few lines.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sally :)
Delete# 912? Talk about sticktoitiveness (and yes, I know that's not a proper word but it fits!). You have reason to be proud of yourself!

DeleteI do feel that way - it's escapism. I can hide myself away in my sewing room and just create which is so good for the soul.
DeleteLove your art work!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteThey look like the wood lilies that I've been worshiping with my camera! You have such a talent.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll try to paint your wood lilies - they are very dramatic!
DeleteAnd thank you for your kind words :)
