I am enjoying the zinnias.
If you left-click the pictures you can see them in a larger format.
This is recommended.
It would be difficult to get too close to a zinnia, I think.
Every time I go down to the big vegetable garden,
I spend ages visiting the zinnias.
And I am not the only one.

Zinnias are such neat flowers. So many different parts.
ReplyDeleteYes! I had to read up about them last year, because the unexpected structural differences fascinated me :)
DeleteThat last picture with the bee is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I've got a LOT of bee pictures in the perennial beds, too...maybe I'll do a post of Just Bees!
DeleteI love the green ones - I haven't seen them too often. And I agree that the last photo is great - would make wonderful cards!
ReplyDeleteI had one or two green zinnia flowers last year, and saved seeds from them. Delighted that so many came up this year :)
DeleteI haven't planted zinnias in a couple of years but now I'm definitely going to plant some next spring!
ReplyDeleteThey provide so much pleasure, Leigh! I usually plant perennials, but now zinnias will always have a place in the gardens too :)
DeleteHow lovely they are! Would make for some nice sketching. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed - I draw them often :)
DeleteLovely photos. Zinnias are a favorite bouquet with a stem of mint and whatever else is around to pick.
ReplyDeleteI usually have assorted stems of all sorts of things in jam jars on windowsills, but Moxie has recently begun pulling out individual stems from the "floral arrangements" to chew on, so I'm beginning to rethink this.
