I love your plant and shrub identification.
ReplyDeleteI have only ever seen one of these--the violet. The clintonia is so delicate. Thanks, Quinn.
ReplyDeleteIt's taken years for the native Clintonia to really "take hold" in their spot here, and it's very exciting to see more plants than ever this year - and many, many more flowers!
DeleteThe violets are pretty, but the blueberries are exciting. :-)
ReplyDeleteHa :)
DeleteThose closeups are stupendous! The tiny violet is gorgeous and I love the yellow clintonia.
ReplyDeleteGosh, thanks, KB...high praise coming from you. I'm toying with the idea of a new camera, and your work is one of the main reasons why!
DeleteHonest to goodness evidence of spring! Yay!
ReplyDeleteYes, we went from Spring to August. Phew. Muggy beyond belief. But the vegetation is changing almost while one looks at it.
DeleteLovely! Those tiny flowers seem so precious...
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly how I feel about flowers, especially the ones that manage to grow in the pretty tough conditions here.
DeleteI have to say I giggled when I read 'Upper West Side'. My mind immediately flashed to Manhattan. I do love those wee little violets.
