Sweetfern, Comptonia peregrina, is neither sweet nor a fern, but is one of my favorite plants. It looks like something the dinosaurs would have walked through, and smells like all the warmest, spiciest, most magical aromas of imagination.
I don't see snow. Things must be warming up. :)
There actually was snow and ice in some of the pictures I took, but somehow I liked these snaps better ;) It did get up to 35F today...
Thank you! It was a perfect hour - so clear and the light almost too strong. Sometimes it's hard to take a bad snap!
yAY! no ice!
Well, not *much* anyway ;)
What? No snow? Want some of the 12" we got last night? LOL (It'll all melt in the next couple of days - I'm not too upset).
A foot of new snow? Glad it's the end of the season, right? The snow is mostly gone here, but it's been pretty cold. We're expected rain tomorrow. Or snow, depending on the temp. Then we'll have mud. Or ice, ditto. Spring! :)
These are such beautiful images Quinn. This is what makes it all worth it in the end :) Welcome Spring!Wendy
Thanks, Wendy :)
These pictures are wonderful - the fodder for making greeting cards perhaps?
