cold times three

When tiny little birds
look three times their normal size,
you can be sure it's very, very, very cold.

I hope everyone is staying safe and well.

  1. You did what I wimped out on when I looked at the thermometer. I wanted to take photos of the birds all fluffed up. I'm glad that you did! They sure do look well insulated. I hope that you're staying warm!

  2. We had ice crytals on our freshly dug soil this morning. Pretty but cold.

    1. We are lucky that so much of Winter is beautiful, I think. Makes the hard parts a bit easier.

    1. Me, too! I'm so glad the birds can fluff up and self-insulate. But this brutally cold temps are hard for them, nonetheless. I'm keeping the feeder full and hoping for kinder conditions soon.
