It's the season of variability. Fluctuations daily. Sometimes hourly.
I've been dealing with a dental/jaw problem since January, or possibly since October, if the jaw pain is connected to audiological issues rather than dental. Hard to say. Also hard to live with, so I've been trying to get it resolved through a series of dental appointments. Right now I'm waiting for a callback from the dentist. For the past couple of weeks the pain has made it difficult to even think straight. Example: this very simple post was started yesterday, and it's taken 24 hours to finish.
On the other and unrelated hand, yesterday I got hooves trimmed on three goats instead of the one I had planned, and now that it's pouring rain I plan to coast on that achievement and trim no hooves at all today. Hah.
I hope all is well with you wherever you are, and that all your hoof-trimming is up to date. It's a good feeling.

So sorry you're in pain - I really hope the dentist figures it out and you can get relief. Spring weather is so fickle - we were teased by a couple days of lovely weather last week and now we're back into cold and probably more snow.
ReplyDeleteJaw pain is so hard to track down. I hope your dentist can fix it. Quick! As you say, hard to know if it's ear, sinus, teeth, what, it all hurts.
ReplyDeletePrayers your health issues are resolved soon at a nice dental office.

Dear Quinn, A friend of my father’s, Dr. Larsell, discovered Larsell’s nerve, which runs from your jaw to your ear, which is why pain in one often is reflected in the other. I don’t know if that is any kind of help, since I don’t know what can be done about the pain, but with luck, your dentist knows. I hope you feel better very soon! Cam
ReplyDeleteOuch! Jaw pain is relentless, and tracking down the cause is not always straightforward. I hope you get some relief soon. Congratulations on powering through three hoof trimmings. Such a good feeling to be a bit ahead of the game, at least long enough to catch one's breath.
ReplyDeleteOur goldfinches are coloring up, too. Smart Violet to enjoy the tree wells. May the next wintry blast be the last for awhile - but as you say...March.

I’m sorry the jaw pain has been dragging on.
ReplyDeleteIt’s exhausting when something so constant makes even simple tasks feel monumental.
I hope your dentist can untangle the mystery soon and bring you relief. In the meantime, trimming three sets of hooves sounds like a victory worth coasting on.
