Friday morning dawned cold (22F) and sunny. More snow predicted tonight and tomorrow. In other news, the crockpot is full of organic turkey stew and "move hay, fill woodbox" are at the top of today's Extra Chores list.

  1. Wonderful pictures as always. Elderberry! My prop and stay in flu season. Isn't one of the goats named that?

    1. Yep, Violet's daughter. If you put Bui in the search box, I think you'll find her baby pictures. Her nicknames include Bui, BooBoo, and Booberry Pie. Because I am a sap :)

  2. More snow. Can you believe that? I like Piper's dusting. I like all the stuff that's starting to bud.

    1. Yes, once the budding starts, it comes on like a wave - even if we do have more snow now and then.

  3. Piper could be a model for dog dandruff shampoo in that photo. The nice picture makes me smile.
I saw snow today! Blue skies, fluffy white clouds, and tiny snowflakes falling. You had to look close because there weren't many of them. I went outdoors to see a darker cloud where they probably fell from.

  4. We had a blizzard yesterday in high winds - then realized it was our neighbor's Callery Pear (ugh) raining petals. Our serviceberries also lost petals, hope they manage to bear a good crop of fruit for the birds and us.

I hope your coming snow is light and quick-melting, unlike KB's snow-wrestling drifts!

After "move hay, fill woodbox", I prescribe a cup of catnip tea. Awaiting the results of your experiment. :-)

    Cheers,
    Chris from Boise

    1. I remember the drifts from cottonwoods in Colorado.
Yes, KB's snow makes mine look decorative and charming!

  5. If giving your animals cute names makes you a sap, then lots of us are saps, I guess.

We are having rain and gloom here in Central Texas. Yes, it's warmer, but at least your precipitation is pretty.

  6. The gloom can be more disheartening than the rain, I think! The snow here was a nice change from rain, especially since it didn't last til nightfall. We're expecting more tonight. I don't mind the precip but I'm really hoping for no strong winds.

  7. The dreaded white stuff has been putting in an appearance here too - not much at any one time but it seems that spring is not willing to make an appearance quite yet.

    1. It's definitely Spring here - bloodroot is up today! - but it's not unusual for snow to return to the stage and take another bow :)

  8. April is always an unpredictable month weather-wise, and for many other reasons now. Hope you are doing well. Thanks for checking in with me by email. Warm wishes, Tammy
