iris

Iris, Vinca, Rocket

My Very Occasional Helper was here for 3 hours yesterday,
so together we made a little progress on the barn.

Iris was also a Big Help.

Although I couldn't help feeling that she had questions about the whole idea of turning the airy, spacious barn into four narrow cubicles.
Not exactly cubicles; more like slip stalls.
Rectanguloids?

"Why? WHYYYY?"

Lately I've been noticing that tiny Iris has grown.
There have even been a couple of times when she was standing apart from the other goats - so, no frame of reference - I wasn't sure if I was looking at Iris or her brother, the chunky Rocket.

"Now I am a BIG goat!"

But then I see her next to an average-size human,
and she immediately becomes tiny again.

Big on personality, though!

That's one thing that hasn't changed since the day she was born.

  1. Iris, is so cute! Her personality shines right on through those pictures. I have an Iris too, although her name wasn't botanically based. Her triplet brother and sister were Kid Flash and Jessie Quick.

    1. Even my goat vet, who seems determined to be a brusque curmudgeon 99% of the time, pointed at Iris and said, "Now THAT is a cute goat!" But if she didn't have a sweet nature, it wouldn't matter to me how cute she is :)

    1. It really helps to have someone do the leaning and lifting. Meant I could be functional for three hours instead of one :)

    1. I'll keep it in mind :) Won't be having more cards made until I've sold more of the current supply, though. It was quite an investment. Thanks for the input!

  5. Iris is a cutie! She seems so comfortable hanging out on that board. Did your work eventually pass her inspection?

    1. It was a chore keeping her off the boards long enough to cut them. I probably ought to build them a gym!

    1. Thanks Tammy - I'm glad I had a reason to look back at the pictures from the day they were born, which I haven't looked at in months. Writing for the blog provides unexpected treats for me sometimes :)

    1. It's very much like puppies: some folks like the rowdy ones best, but I'm a sucker for the sweet ones.
