Apologies for the murkiness of this morning's images...it's going to rain. Again.
I don't know much about hummingbirds, but I think this one may be a baby.
It was all rumpled and fluttery and a bit unsteady.
Maybe on it's first outing!
I hope you have a lovely Saturday.
And I hope you get rain if you need it!

Does look like a baby one, doesn't it? Poor little thing, the bog world must be a frightful place. I am hoping and praying for rain here. It keeps passing us by and this ridge is a dry place anyway with sandy soil. The gardens have about dried up.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was fluttering because it was frightened - just seemed to be getting it's "sea legs" :)
DeleteNeat!
ReplyDeleteIt poured here last night.
It's getting old, isn't it?
DeleteI love hummers--such tiny birds and so neat to watch--
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing the photos with us--
enjoy, di
You are very welcome! Thank you for your nice comment, Di :)
DeletePlease send us your rain! I love your hummer. It looks young to me! I don't remember hummers from when I lived in NE... odd.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I could send you the rain! The paddocks are never dry, and I am having to worry about hoof rot in what should be the middle of summer. Unbelievable.
DeleteJust being able to get a photo of a hummer is a feat! And a baby one at that...even more rare. Great photos!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have the feeder close enough to the window that I am always tempted to try. Probably take 200 images for every 1 that is recognizable as a hummingbird ;)
