sunrise

This little bottle, in a south-facing window at the foot of my bed,
catches a few minutes of sunrise in one of it's beveled edges.

 Time to get up and out.
The days are short and there is always much to do.

But sometimes during morning chores,
I take a few pictures to share with you.

~~~
I hope your week is off to a good start
and your chores are going well.
  1. We woke up to a world of white yesterday morning, which came as rather a shock after having been out the day before wearing just a sweater (well, a little more than that, but you know what I mean!).
    1. I was surprised when our earlier snow stuck around for days - it was just so darned cold, it couldn't melt. This time, the snow was wet and heavy by nightfall, so I'm hoping it will vanish. I've still got stuff here and there waiting to be taken to the dump after recent shed-cleaning endeavors.
  2. A small branch with an ornament in that bottle might perk up your day. Stay Warm!
    I hang crystals in the south facing window. In the winter the prisms fly all over the room when the sun is out at the right angle.
    1. We think alike! That little bottle often serves as a bud/blossom/twig vase, and until about a week ago, held one cream-colored winter chrysanthemum flower. Another little bottle on the porch is holding a larch twig with several cones :)
  3. That little bottle is very pretty. They sure don't make them like that anymore. It seems everyone was waiting for snow and most places got it about the same time. My Colorado boy sent me video last week and a photo over the weekend of his front yard with a visiting deer. Happy Wednesday!
  4. I love old bottles! And firewood. And snow (although I'm glad we don't have any yet.)
  5. I love that bottle, especially that last photo. It is tough at this time of year... daylight is so scarce...
    1. So true. Morning chores and evening chores are almost blending together right now.
  6. December snows are so pretty. We haven't gotten much yet - mostly dustings, but that may change this week. I love looking at your photography!
