Sweetfern, Comptonia peregrina, is neither sweet nor a fern. It looks like something the dinosaurs would have walked through, releasing the warmest, spiciest aromas of imagination.
My blog feed doesn't seem to want to show me everyone's blogs?!! I've been reading back through your September posts now and enjoying all the information (Nasa), knitting, dyeing, and is 'goating' a word? You got some beautiful shots of fall scenery here ... I like the meadow & trees. And Piper is her usual happy, happy self! My dog is happiest when it's a little chilly out too. He comes back inside all wriggly with excitement. Have a great weekend Quinn! Wendy
I've noticed several of the blogs I follow show up in Feedly all in a clump - 4 or 5 posts appear all at once, even those most of them are days old. I have no idea why, nor do the bloggers! Anyway, I'm glad you're finding my posts, by whatever means necessary - I always appreciate your comments :)
Thank you for leaving a comment! I enjoy reading each one, and will usually reply either here or on YOUR blog!

Beautiful autumn photos... and Piper!! It looks like someone figured out their new camera :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :) Planning to take camera to an outdoor event on Sunday. Final field test.
DeleteLooks like you and your new camera are coming to terms. Beautiful photos today. Please give Piper special scritches from me!!
ReplyDeletePiper as always, makes me laugh!
ReplyDeleteIt's her most valuable skill, without question!
DeleteBeautiful photographs! I love the one of Piper.
ReplyDeleteEerie, though, upper right dark spot looks like a black cat lurking.
Ha! Trompe l'oeil! Or can you call it that when it was not intentional? ;)
