Sweetfern, Comptonia peregrina, is neither sweet nor a fern. It looks like something the dinosaurs would have walked through, releasing the warmest, spiciest aromas of imagination.
It's not the goat's fault, but sorry to say my camera is on its last legs. The lens mechanism has been wonky ever since the repair (under warranty) last Spring. Now (no more warranty) a "lens error" is turning the camera off after every 2nd or 3rd shot - you can imagine how amusing this is! Bracing myself for another expenditure.

Usually I see it coming, but this time Fern really surprised me - it was like a big fuzzy moon rising on the edge of my view ;)
DeleteLOLOL. I have some great shots of big goat noses. Also rear ends because I have a couple that always turn away from the camera!
ReplyDeleteSilly goat. Thanks for the morning laughs!
ReplyDeleteWell, hello there! Ha-ha! When Jingles sees me trying to take a picture, she immediately turns away. The goats are a little more camera curious. :)
