I discovered this stunning caterpillar this morning, and identified it (easily done!) as an Abbott's Sphinx. I was thrilled to see it on asiatic bittersweet, one of the more obnoxious invasives I deal with daily.

LOL as long as it stays on that plant. We have a very similar looking caterpillar that eats the lemon trees :(

ReplyDeleteThat's a spectacular caterpillar. I've found a few that look something like that around here but haven't been able to ID them. I hope he eats all those invasives!
