By an odd coincidence, Just a few days ago I had cause to wonder if there are fishers crossing my place again. A similar whiff of Mustelidae was the first indication of the fishers in this blog post.Quinnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17292701509476856967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204374863752308898.post-28300170844025889922020-01-01T01:30:16.153-05:002020-01-01T01:30:16.153-05:00I couldn't think of a better way to ring out t...I couldn't think of a better way to ring out the old year than to review your 2018, as it was the one archival year I hadn't indulged in. (We don't stay up to ring in the new, but with two firework-phobic dogs I'm up late counter-conditioning). My goal is to finish through March - and here you were with a fisher sighting! Oh my! I've seen their tracks but not in person.

I must say - again - that your writing is wonderful, your subjects fascinating, and your markmaking and photography - wow. They do look huge, but having seen them so rarely I'm no expert on the size. Maybe they're looking for a den? I just 'did a google' and it seems they will prey on small farm animals like chickens and cats - better keep your kitty inside until you're sure they're gone.Magpie's Mumblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09852241848575954128noreply@blogger.com
