commenter appreciation day

One of the best things about blogging
is sharing information.

Blogger and commenter:
it's like a two-way street.

Or maybe it's like leaning out the window
and calling to a friend across the way
who is also leaning out the window.

I am so grateful to every reader
who leaves advice or shares an experience
in the comments.

I hereby declare a

Commenter Appreciation Day

with special thanks to Boud, who sent me
straight out to buy a bag of grapes, because:

"frozen seedless grapes work exactly like candy"

And special thanks also to Sandra,
who immediately seconded this excellent suggestion!
With such enthusiastic endorsement,
I knew I couldn't go wrong.

So I bought two bags of grapes.
~~~
I am now extending the supply of frozen apple slices
by alternating with frozen grapes.
Life is sweet!
It's cold, but it's very sweet.
    1. You might enjoy them frozen! They taste like grapes, yes, but also like ice cream. On a hot summer day in the Azores...might be just the thing :)
  4. Love your comment enthusiasm, Quinn. There are a lot of bloggers out there who don't "GET" the "two-way street concept". I love dropping by for a "chat"...and the goats...and PIPER...and the frozen apples of last week. I have been recovering from surgery since late last Friday - it will take a bit, but I am up and reading this morning, and SO glad I landed here. Happy Wednesday, Quinn - it is, INDEED! Tanya
  6. Fantastic to have a Commenter Appreciation Day!
    I use frozen bing cherries as candy. They're also great after dental work when one might need a bit of cold. I'll give the grapes a try, and the cookies.
    1. OH! I love cherries. Love them. They are a real luxury treat for me! Not sure how many I would have to buy in order to have "extras" to freeze, but when they are back in season, I will TRY. Thanks for that tip :)
  11. Quinn, you're more than welcome. You're one of the few women bloggers I know who is farming alone. When I'm on the tractor, like today, I think of you and wonder what your day brings.
  12. Hear, hear! I've learned a lot in the last week because of bloggers leaving comments which resulted in me searching for more information. It's all good! Frozen grapes will come in handy here when the heat sets in. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
