Sweetfern, Comptonia peregrina, is neither sweet nor a fern, but is one of my favorite plants. It looks like something the dinosaurs would have walked through, and smells like all the warmest, spiciest, most magical aromas of imagination.
Hey, nicely done, Quinn! Thanks for stopping by to visit me on my first Wordless Wednesday.
It was your first one too? I didn't realize! Thanks for the inspiration!
Very awesome Quinn. I likee :)
Amazing, almost like shaving foam!
Freaky! and cool!
I didn't know that you'd started a blog :) Quinn, your photo's are stunning!
Thank you so much, Dani! I've got a lot to learn about the art of blogging, but at least I chose a perfect template! ;)
Just catching up here ... goodness you had a lot of snow. I am left with the mental image of a straggling line of goats plodding a meandering path to their hay and grumbling to each other about the person who couldn't tread a straight one!Love this image :)
You've got me thinking! Goats have many ways of moving, but I don't think I've ever seen one "plod." But this morning I watched a big doe suddenly jump straight up a few inches, when the little goat behind her got tired of waiting to move along the path, and gave the big doe a little bump in the behind! ;)
What a lot of snow! Hope you are keeping warm. Lucy xx
Now that is one cool, er, no pun intended, photo!Stay warm my friend.Hugs,Beth P
Hi Quinn: When you first commmented on my blog, I looked you up and saw no blog. Now you have one! I love this photo, so simple but so beautiful. BTW, did you fall off your chair????? :)
